PROP & PELLER PRETZEL HANDLING AND PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

KEY THINGS TO DO UPON ARRIVAL OF YOUR PRETZELS

  1. Check cases upon delivery to make sure there
    is no damage and product is frozen.
  2. Open cases and check for breakage.

    NOTE: IF PRETZELS ARE DAMAGED OR COMPROMISED, PLEASE DOCUMENT  BY TAKING PICTURES OF LOT NUMBER AND PRODUCT. REPORT TO YOUR DISTRIBUTOR IMMEDIATELY.

  3. Make sure pretzels are being stored in a freezer.

KEY THINGS NOT TO DO WITH PRODUCT (BIG NO NO’S):

1. DO NOT DROP. Being frozen makes the pretzels VERY fragile. Treat them like precious cargo. Handle with care.

2. DO NOT DEFROST (thaw) or refreeze (could cause peeling/flaking).

3. DO NOT REHEAT TWICE, will make the pretzels stale and dry.

4. DO NOT STORE PRETZELS IN REFRIGERATOR. Keep frozen (0 to -10°F) if stored in refrigerator, please use seal bag (seal or ziplock) so pretzels do no adapt odor/taste from other food items. Use within 3-4 days once defrosted if it remains refrigerated.

5. PRETZELS ARE FRAGILE; do not place any heavy weight on top of cases.

6. DO NOT CRAM PRODUCT into freezer by squishing cases.

7. AVOID TAKING PRODUCT OUT OF CASES for easier storage, may cause breakage.

8. DO NOT USE MICROWAVE to heat, will dry product out and make it chewy.

9. DO NOT LEAVE UNDER HEAT LAMP for extended time. The shorter time, the fresher and better the pretzels will taste.

  1. Thaw pretzels at room temperature for 45 to 60 min.
  2. Spray the pretzels with
    water or beer.
  3. Sprinkle with pretzel salt
    or other toppings.

  • 2.7oz. Twist: 2-4 min at 350º- 375º F
  • 5oz: Twist: 3-4 min at 350º F
  • 10oz: Twist: 5-7 min at 375º- 400ºF
  • 16oz: Twist: 4-7 min at 350º- 375ºF
  • BITES: 2-3 min at 375º F
  • 5” Stick: 2-3 min at 350º- 375º F
  • 8” Stick: 2-3 min at 350º- 375º F
